Pet Diary Explanation
After a pet exits the shelter the tweets exist forever and the link in those tweets switches from the shelter pet profile page go to that pet’s permanent AdoptMeApp diary. The diary (widget) is displayed as follows:
a) For shelters using the Chameleon/PetHarbor animal management system AdoptMeApp switches linking from to the PetHarbor profile to linking to our getpet.info diaries on our system. This is because PetHarbor removes the pet profiles after an exit occurs.
b) For shelters using the ShelterBuddy animal management system AdoptMeApp continues to link to their actual shelter pet profiles which continue to exist except in the case of RSPCAQld which has chose to have us link to their own “no longer available” webpage. Instead in these testimonial pages we point to the Twitter hashtag results (which are not always complete). However the tweets themselves exists forever and the widgets are also forever in our database.
